WOMAN CHARGED WITH DRUG AND DRIVING OFFENCES

A woman has been charged with drug and driving offences after police found cannabis, ‘GBL’ and an electronic stun device in Newcastle over the weekend.
Just after 1am on Saturday, police stopped a red Holden Cubsport on the Newcastle Inner City Bypass at Birmingham Gardens.
Officers spoke with the 25-year-old driver, searched the vehicle and found cannabis, an electronic stun device, drug paraphernalia and a liquid substance believed to be the drug ‘GBL’. The liquid has been taken for further testing.

The vehicle was allegedly stolen earlier in the month at Moree.
The woman was arrested and taken to Waratah Police Station where she was charged with a string of offences.
She was granted conditional bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court on December 17.
