FRENCH-THEMED VILLAGE STILL ON CARDS

Developer Hilton Grugeon says work could start on the St Helena french-themed residential village at Lochinvar within 12 months.

The project has been on hold for six years due to planning changes and a dispute over an entrance off the highway, which has now been resolved.

The $100-million plan was rejected by the state government twice, before approval in 2006.
