A Queensland man and his three-year-old son were lucky to escape serious injury this morning after being involved in a car crash near Woodburn.
It’s believed the man was driving south along the Pacific Highway just after 2am when the car rolled, and became partially submerged in the drain of a nearby property.
It was a bit of a surprise and then you see a car like that in all the years I’ve lived here I’ve never seen a car in the drain like this before.”
The pair was located away from the crash scene and taken to Lismore Base Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the incident.
