The Newcastle Jets have announced the departure of skipper, Ruben Zadkovich.
The club says the mutual termination of his contract, which was set to expire at the end of next season, allows the 28-year-old to pursue a new opportunity elsewhere.
It follows reports Perth is keen to secure the midfielder’s services for two years… while a source close to the Jets says the championship-winning Brisbane Roar has also shown interest.
