A man has been caught drink driving, six times over the legal limit in Toormina.
Just before 7.30 on Sunday night, the 46-year-old was driving through a car park at the Toormina Gardens Shopping Centre when he lost control of his car and hit a light post.
“It’s one of the highest we’ve seen in the state in recent times and it’s quite a concern not only to me, but I dare say the community, it just shows you the lack of control that we’ll allege the driver had of the vehicle.” Det Insp Darren Jameson.
The man will appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court on June 2.
