Avoca’s Adrian Buchan has been eliminated from the Billabong Pro Rio by Tahitian Michel Bourez.
Buchan’s highest score was a six for a backhand barrel, at the 10 minute mark.
But the World number eight, responded with an 8.23.
The Ace found another right-handed tube; but it wasn’t enough to advance to Round Four, going down by less than two points – 13.73 to 11.90.
