Cessnock has been rattled by two major fires overnight.
One all but destroyed a small home, while the other severely damaged an historic hotel.
It’s the same hotel which was the target of a bomb attack four years ago.

The house fire started before the Wentworth did. It started around 8pm last night. The Wentworth has always been a target for the youths of Cessnock so it wouldn’t surprise me if it was deliberate.
Well now another house fire no more than 2km away started around 8 pm i live near by and seen it burn ! Coincidence ???
the fire started at about 6.20pm and not 8 pm as i was one off the person who called 000 and that was at 6.20pm
