WHITE RIBBON RIDE IN GOSFORD
A group of police, cycling from Newcastle to Sydney for White Ribbon Day, will ride into Blacktown tomorrow morning, marking the end of their 250-kilometre journey.
Wild weather caused some problems for the cyclists after they set off from Newcastle Police Station yesterday, but thankfully the rain eased by the time they got to Gosford.
The riders, including Brisbane Water Local Area Commander Danny Sullivan, are trying to raise awareness of domestic and family violence.
They’ll stay overnight in Vineyard, before setting off on the final 16-kilometre leg tomorrow.
