The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service has just received its first of four new aircrafts.
The Italian-built machines are set to service the Hunter and Northern New South Wales.
The state government has funded the purchase of the four AW139, worth $18 million each, to be based in Newcastle, Tamworth and Lismore.
