A Kanwal man remains in a serious but stable condition following an accident involving two semi trailers on the M1 at Somersby this morning.
Police say a truck travelling at slow speed was clipped from behind.
The driver of the other vehicle was trapped for half an hour before he was cut free and flown to Royal North Shore hospital.
The 59-year-old suffered head and abdominal injuries.
Police are investigating.
