Australian surfing sensation Sally Fitzgibbons hinted at a possible career change during a visit to the Goldie Classic ironman event in the Hunter.
The fan favourite was picking up a new paddleboard for training yesterday and didn’t rule out a future switch.
“Competitively racing, maybe down the track, could be something exciting but for now I have to learn to paddle, just learn a new craft, reconnect with my old nippers days.”
Her preparations for next year’s surfing world tour will take her across the globe.
“Some great trips, I’ll be heading to Nova Scotia, to surf in the snow, something completely different.”
