GOLDIE CLASSIC PROVES IDEAL HIT OUT FOR CAINE ECKSTEIN

Five time Coolangatta Gold winner Caine Eckstein has claimed today’s Goldie Classic.
A field of 35 lined up at the start, but the big guns quickly made a break.
Eckstein was locked in a battle with former Swansea Belmont lifesaver Michael Booth as they moved from the ski to the board.
By the swim, the Queenslander had a handy lead and proved too hard to catch on the sand.
Today’s hit out provided a perfect warm up for the national ironman series.
