LEONHARDT BREAKS ANOTHER AUSTRALIAN RECORD

Port Macquarie swimmer Paige Leonhardt has another Australian record to her name, after smashing the 200 metre breaststroke multi-class record by 30 seconds.

The 13-year-old swims under both the S10 and S14 classes for physical and intellectual disabilities, and took home five medals at the Multi-Class Championships over the weekend.

She also broke the state record for 50 metres breaststroke and is well on her way to achieving her goal of competing at the Paralympic Games.

The teenager was recently named Hastings Sportsperson of the Year for an athlete with an intellectual disability.
