A man has died in a car accident in Callaghan at Newcastle this afternoon.
At around 2pm three cars collided near the intersection of Stannett Street.
A female passenger thought to be in her late 90s, was found deceased.
No one else was injured.
The drivers of the three vehicles, one woman and two men, were taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
Police from Newcastle Local Area Command established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the incident.
