BULLOCK SADDLES UP FOR HIS FIRST GROUP ONE RIDE

Local jockey Aaron Bullock will fulfil a dream this weekend when he rides Admiral Jello in the Queensland Derby at Eagle Farm.
It’s the 25-year-old’s first group one ride, and the youngster is grateful trainer Kris Lees has shown faith in him.
It’s a privilege to get the opportunity from the Kris Lees stable to be able to ride a horse in a group one. It doesn’t come around very often for jockey’s like me, it’ll be a great opportunity.
While Admiral Jello is at long odds for the Derby, Bullock believes the colt is ready for the step up in class.
One thing I know with the horse is he’ll run the trip, where half these three year old were nominated a year ago and they’re are going into unknown waters over the 2400. He’s drawn 15 and he’ll put himself there.
