GARDEN GATES FLUNG OPEN FOR CHARITIES

Some of Tamworth’s most avid greenthumbs have showcased their efforts today, as part of this year’s biennial open gardens event.

“The variety and the diversity of the gardens large and small, very colourful. Some are quite formal, some are not so formal.”

The gates to eight gardens across the city were unlocked, to raise money for Can Assist and Angel Flight.

“It gives people the opportunity to get out and see what other people can do. And they can take ideas back home to use in their own gardens, and just generally spread the good message about gardens.”
