MAITLAND MEN AND NEWCASTLE WOMEN ON COURSE FOR THE WBL FINALS

Maitland’s men’s side remains on track for the Waratah Basketball League playoffs following a win over Hills, but Newcastle’s men need a miracle.
Meanwhile, the Hunters’ women moved a step closer to the post season with a solid effort against Penrith – Susie Walmsley and Sophie Parente on target for the home side.
Once again, the Newcastle girls put in a solid team performance, with Charlotte Bull on the end of some unselfish play.
Veterans Jill Morgan and Cheryl Wills ensured the Hunters finished with an eight point win.
