Police are urging motorists to be vigilant on the roads this long weekend, with Operation Slow Down coming into effect from midnight tomorrow.
The annual state-wide traffic blitz will target speeding, drink driving and seatbelt offences, in a bid to reduce the road toll.
Mid North Coast police officers will have their sights set on the Pacific Highway, as well as busy local roads.
Double demerits will be in place until midnight on Monday.
