Police allege a 33-year-old Quirindi man was detected travelling along Burgmanns Lane in Tamworth last night, at 162 kilometres per hour.
The speed limit there is 100.
Officers say a quantity of what’s believed to be methyl-amphetamine was also found in the vehicle.
The driver’s been issued with a court attendance notice, and fined $2,000.
