CCTV images have surfaced a hapless crook being pelted with bags of lollies by a service station attendant in the Hunter Valley.
The robber was trying to enter the door of the service station at Aberdare on Sunday, wearing a balaclava and threatening the attendant with an iron bar.
But the shop worker skittled the thief, throwing confectionary. The thief fled the scene in a Hyundai sedan carrying two others.
Police are reviewing the images.
