UPDATE: FIRE TRAPS DRIVERS NEAR MORISSET

UPDATE:
One lane of the M-1 Pacific Motorway has now reopened to traffic following the fire outbreak earlier this afternoon.

The blaze has spread to both sides of the road and drivers are still being urged to avoid the area.

Crews are working to bring the fire under control.

It is in the vicinity of a Hazard Reduction zone, although it’s not known whether back burning caused the blaze.
