Police at Lake Macquarie have seized a large amount of cash after raiding a home in the area overnight.
Just after 7.30pm, police raided a house in Pendeen Close at Belmont North.
It’s alleged they found $250,000 in cash and a loaded handgun and seized around 15 kilos of cannabis, 12 kilos of a substance believed to be amphetamine or a cutting agent and steroids.
A 32-year-old man was arrested and is expected to appear at Newcastle Local Court later today.
