Another step for Lake Macquarie as it prepares to host the 2014 International Children’s Games.
At last night’s closing ceremony for this year’s event in Canada, Lake mayor Jodie Harrison was presented with the games’ flag.
It will be flown over Lake Macquarie in December next year.
And Lake athletes are bringing home a swag of medals from the 2013 games, including two gold, three silver and a bronze, in events such as high jump, long jump and gymnastics.
