QLD PREMIER AND GC MAYOR CLASH OVER GOLD COAST BEACHES

Queensland Premier Campbell Newman, and Gold Coast Mayor, Tom Tate, are butting heads over whose duty it is to fix the city’s eroded beaches.

“It is the responsibility of the GCCC to maintain the beaches, it has always been their responsibility, there is no change to that responsibility.”

“Back in the 67, when our beaches was attacked by mother nature at the time, all hands was on deck – federal government, state government, army, Brisbane people.”

Gold Coast beaches have continued to deteriorate since storms in January.

  1. The whole dodgy campaign was cooked up by the newspaper’s chief reporter and Tate himself, it was the most delusional approach ever seen in this city! He reckons he’s got no time to tweet Newman, what an arrogant little man! He’s got plenty of time to get on twitter and start a retweeting session with Shannon Willoughby though, go see for yourself. This whole thing stinks to high heaven. Dont take your eyes off Tate for a second, chances are his mates are already lining up and rubbing their hands together for the tender to do the work, certainly wouldn’t be unusual given Tate’s history of business methodology. #heismakingmesicknow
