A memorial service was held in Gosford today, paying tribute to the many soldiers who served in the Boer War.
I have just watched this segment on the Boer War while sitting in an hotel in Paris, and would like to congratulate your community for commemorating a part of our history long forgotten. If it hadn’t been featured in the Breaker Morant film it would have been from the Aaustralian point of view, history.
And I have a personal interest too because the schoolgirl speaking is my granddaughter Molly, who seems even more grown-up and poised than when I last saw her on a few weeks ago.
