Lismore’s Tim Howes has flown his way into the Australian record books, after performing the most number of take-offs and landings in a single day.
The hobby-flier recorded 122 successful attempts in near perfect conditions.
“I couldn’t ask for a better day, it was a foggy morning but when we got up there there was a perfect clear patch where our strip was and that was it.”
But Tim says drawing attention to animal adoption group, ‘Friends of the Hounds’ has been more rewarding than the record.
“We’ve already had people calling up wanting dogs as pets and a few people wanting a few rehomed, so it’s been a fantastic result.”
