The nation’s largest expo for people with a disability opened in Newcastle today.
The two-day event showcases equipment designed to support independence.
There’s also some four-legged friends.
“With the hopefully NDIS coming soon people are going to have more control over choosing the products and services they want to access.” said Diana Palmer, Ideas Executive Officer.
State Disability Services Minister Andrew Constance paid a visit, while London Paralympic gold medallist Liesl Tesch added some star power, encouraging participation in sport.
