WEATHER UPDATE: EAST COAST LOW LATEST

The developing east coast low is on track.

Southerly winds will strengthen quickly during Friday the 19th across the Central Coast to Seal Rocks region including Hunter waters.
The peak of the winds will be during Saturday morning with gusts along the coast up to 90 possibly reaching 100km/h.
Swell will rise dramatically causing extensive coastal erosion on Saturday off shore boating is not recommended at all.
Exposed inland waters such as Lake Macquarie and Brisbane Waters will also feel the full brunt of the passing system so extra anchorage on boats is highly recommended.
Tie down any loose or flimsy items in back yards would also be wise.
The Upper Hunter and MNC waters will also feel the affect of the low but conditions shouldn’t be as severe.
Squally showers, heavy at times will also be at their peak during Saturday.
Conditions will calm quickly by Sunday.
