Students from across the region were put through their paces at trials for the North West Combined High Schools rugby union team today.
About 40 boys were vying for selection, with today’s trials quickly followed by a game where the guys could prove their worth.
Last year the North West team made the grand final, but lost in a close contest to the Far North Coast.
