Tamworth police are investigating two break and enters in South Tamworth overnight.
Sometime between 3.30 and 5.30 this morning an unknown offender smashed the rear door of a Hillvue Road home to gain entry.
A safe was stolen with an amount of cash and identification documents inside, plus a mobile phone.
A window of a Dennison Street home was also broken and a mobile phone was stolen.
