A 57 year-old man has been attacked during an attempted robbery of the Powerhouse Hotel in Tamworth.
Just after four o’clock this morning, the man, who was an employee of the hotel, was punched in the face by another man, who then fled on foot.
“At anytime there’s actual violence in these sorts of incidents is of concern and anytime premises are broken into is alarming to us but when people are confronted and actual violence is exhibited that’s of concern to us.”
The alleged offender is described as being of aboriginal appearance with dark hair.
