A revetment wall to prevent erosion at Lake Cathie is a step closer, with the state government announcing $125,000 in funding for the assessment and design of the project.
Illaroo Road is one of the state’s coastal erosion hot spots, and while no houses are under immediate threat, the road in front of them is at risk of major damage.
The project is expected to cost $3-million.
