WEATHER UPDATE: HOTTEST SUMMER ON RECORD

The past summer was officially Australia’s hottest on record.

Even though we were swamped with rain in late January and Feb the country as a whole saw some extreme conditions with 14 of the 112 long term climate weather stations recording their hottest days on record. It is more evidence the worlds weather is shifting dramatically.
Who could argue that at the moment with flooding rain spreading across the region today with more that 150mm coming down across Newcastle, well over 100mm for Tamworth. The heavy rain focus is going to shift to the northern NSW and SE QLD coasts over the next 24 hours with flooding likely.

Dangerous beach conditions will also develop.

The wet wild weather will begin to ease on Sunday.
