SHARKS CIRCLE IN QUIRINDI
Quirindi’s smallest rugby league players yesterday met with some of their biggest NRL idols.
Cronulla Sharks players paid a special visit to the town’s minor league sign-on day.
Star five-eighth Todd Carney says it’s important for the game’s big names to get out and meet the fans.
“It’s always good mate to get out to places like Quirindi and obviously Tamworth are holding a game on Saturday night, so it’s good for us players to get out here and give back to the community, and for the young kids to see some NRL faces.”
