Residents in the Byron Shire have until Sunday to dump their green waste for free at the Myocum landfill.
Council is offering the service in response to the large amount of debris left littering the streets after this week’s heavy rain.
A one-off kerbside waste collection will also take place next week for people living on urban properties.
“So we’re hoping people will bundle it, not put them in plastic to cause contamination, put it out on the nature strip and on Monday we will come around and collect them all.”
