The driver of a stolen car led police on a high speed chase across Newcastle and the Lower Hunter early this morning.
Police say the car was stolen from Raymond Terrace last night, and the driver took-off when police tried to pull the car over on Elizabeth Street at Carrington.
After hitting speeds of up to 190km/h the pursuit was terminated in Raymond Terrace and the car was dumped in Tathra Street.
