A Rural Fire Service volunteer has been kicked out of the organisation after stealing equipment from a station in the Upper Hunter.
Fire hoses, chainsaws and water pumps were stolen from the Wards River station last August.
The 30-year-old man was fined $1,000 and given a 12-month good behaviour bond by Dungog Local Court.
