Vandals have smashed a dozen glass panels at the Goonellabah Sports and Aquatic Centre overnight – causing thousand’s of dollars worth of damage.
The clean-up began early this morning, just as the centre was due to reopen for school holiday activities.
“If anyone knows who’s responsible please contact the police. This is terrible not just in financial terms but in social terms. It says negative things about the community I live and I love”
Police are now reviewing security footage.
