A retired Hunter priest has been charged with sexually abusing two students in the 1960s and 70s.
The Marist College students reported the abuses to police in November and December this year, making sexual assault allegations against a teacher.
The 80-year-old has been charged with three counts of indecent assault against against two victims whilst at school in the 1960s and 1970s and was handed the court notices at his home in the ACT.
He was granted bail to appear in Newcastle Local Court on January 29.
