A Shoal Bay marine icon is on the move.
The original 1954 mural which once graced the Country Club was lost during an extensive redevelopment.
Artist Hal Holman was recomissioned to paint a new mural in 2004 for the resort’s restaurant, but with a decor change coming up, the artwork went to auction.
It sold for $850 to a Sydney family who’ve holidayed at the bay for many years, and whose daughter was recently married at the resort.
