MAN FACES COURT OVER KIDNAPPING BOY ON CENTRAL COAST

A man will face court today after allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a 9-year-old boy in his home on Saturday night on the Central Coast.

Police say the boy was expected to be home from skateboarding with friends at The Entrance at 6pm but spoke with a 36-year-old man who convinced him to come into his house.

It’s alleged the man locked the doors and indecently assaulted the boy, refusing to let him leave.

The boy was located at about 7.45 yesterday morning when he was spotted by his family after leaving the man’s home.

The 36-year-old was charged with taking and detaining a person with intent of obtaining advantage and indecently assaulting a person under 16.
