WEATHER UPDATE: CHANCE OF SOME FOLLOW UP RAIN

It’s a beautiful start to the week.

The widespread rain has helped ease conditions for allergy sufferers and fire fighters. Cleaning the atmosphere from dust and pollen while extinguishing the last of the fires.

Tomorrow, Tuesday the 13th, a weak southerly will push in across the Hunter and north to Port Macquarie triggering a few showers and storms mostly across the Upper Hunter and along the ranges to the south.

That change will leave behind a trough which will again fire up a few storms and showers across the Ranges on Wednesday this will be a more active day with the shower activity more widespread along the coast and inland.

The rain from this will be patchy but at the end of the week there could be a more impressive system that at this point should deliver widespread follow up falls to last weeks rain. This would be very handy replenishing the soil which will absorb the recent rain quickly. Friday and Saturday appear to the be wettest days but check in again as the week progresses.
