TRUCK DRIVER ALLEGEDLY CAUGHT DRIVING MORE THAN SIX TIMES LEGAL LIMIT

A 33-year-old man will face court next month, charged with driving more than six times over the legal blood alcohol limit, after allegedly crashing a 10-tonne truck at Elermore Vale.

Police allege the man lost control of the vehicle last night, mounted a footpath and slammed into a road sign on Jubilee Road.

Officers say he continued driving, and later ploughed through the fence of a Croudace Road home.

The man was arrested and police say he registered a blood alcohol reading of point 3-1-6.

He’s been charged with high range drink driving and has had his licence suspended.
