The Tamworth under-15 girls CHS basketball side has fought its way into the state’s top eight after defeating Orange 69 points to 39 today.
“Game plan was to box out, and make sure that we stole, and if we stole then we’d run our fast breaks. And, we ran fast breaks all game, it was really good.” – Louise Taylor, Tamworth coach.
The girls managed to overcome a huge height difference to take out the win.
“They weren’t ready for our nippy little players who could get under their feet and steal from them. They did an amazing job at keeping them out and rebounding, even though they were really short.”
Tamworth heads to Terrigal next month to take on the competition’s remaining seven teams.
