WEATHER UPDATE – GOLDILOCKS DAY

Wednesday 24 October
Yesterday was too cool, tomorrow will be too hot but today Wednesday the 24th was just right.

It certainly has been a see saw Spring, swinging from one extreme to the other.

Thursday is going to be hot again with dangerous bushfire conditions redeveloping but it won’t be as severe as the weekend just past.

The NW winds are switching back on, they quickly tap into the large pool of hot air sitting over the interior which has finally cooled slightly today thanks to a large cloud band producing light falls of rain.

Another cooler change is ready to move in on Friday and that will drop temperatures across the weekend. Once again there won’t be much rain with the change. Better falls will be possible early next week.

FEATURED WEATHER SHOT

The haze has built up over the inland once again which can be exacerbated by morning temperature inversions. A layer of cold air sits on the surface dropping the temperature closer to dew point which helps the smoke and dust particles attach to moisture droplets increasing the haze.
