JETS GIRLS KEEN TO TAKE THEIR RIVALS BY SURPRISE

Newcastle captain Hayley Crawford, believes her side can cause a few upsets this season, despite losing a host of international experience.
“We’ve had a good solid six weeks together and the imports have fitted in well and I think we’ll be a surprise to most teams.”
The Jets completed their final session today ahead of tomorrow’s season opener against Sydney.
With plenty of familiar faces in the starting 11, the captain is confident her squad won’t rely on Matilda, Emily van Egmond.
“The rest of us come together nicely and we know each other’s games and I think that’ll put us in good stead for the future.”
