Alan Jones will swap his radio microphone for a loudspeaker, at what’s expected to be the biggest anti coal seam gas protest ever seen in the Tweed.
The radio broadcaster will be the headline speaker at ‘Rock the Gate’, which will be held in Murwillumbah on October 13.
“It kicks of the national week of action called by the Lock The Gate alliance against the rapid expansion of coal seam gas and other forms of unconventional gas.”
Organisers want the entire Tweed region declared coal seam gas free.
A similar event in May attracted more than 2,000 people.
