Dozens of keen golfers hit the streets of Newcastle today, literally.
A far cry from the manicured greens, they brought traffic to a stand still in Cooks Hill for ‘World Urban Golf Day.’
It’s a game of very few rules where players hit balls at improvised targets, and golf attire is not essential.
All proceeds from the event go directly to Father Chris Riley’s ‘Youth Off The Streets Program.’
