Two lanes of the Pacific Highway, north of Taree, were closed today after a b-double rolled onto the median strip last night.
The truck was heading north when it crashed near the Ghinni Ghinni bridge at around 10pm.
The 49-year-old male driver was trapped in the cabin for almost an hour, while the Volunteer Rescue Association worked to free him.
He escaped with a lacerated arm and was airlifted to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital.
Crews will work to remove the truck later today.
