NRRRL Elimination Semi Final Ballina v Byron Bay

It’s do or die for Ballina and Byron Bay in the NRRRL Semi Final tomorrow.

The two teams will be fighting it out to stay alive in the competition.

The heat is on for both Ballina and Byron Bay to win the elimination semi tomorrow – and stay alive in the finals race.

The loser is eliminated, which means this game is make or break for both teams – who finished the regular season side by side on the ladder.

They’ve played each other twice this year already and the record stands at one a piece – but this is the big one.

Struggling with injuries, the Ballina Seagulls are targetting Byron’s playmakers.

“With Byron Bay we have to enulify Jared Dethierry he’s a strong attacking weapon and he sets up all their plays, gets the ball out to Clarence Kellyand Chris King who gets a lot of speed. So if we can stop the ball getting to them, then we’ll be half way to winning the game.”

The game kicks off at 2:45 tomorrow afternoon at Red Devil Park Byron Bay.

Ballina Seagulls are pleading for support as they head into what could be their final match of the season.

“We’d like to get all the Ballina Supporters up there to give us as much home support as we can and win to go on and keep our season going.”
